It's possible I won't be that satisfied by my Taco Bell. At my high school, we had the option of taking either AP Calc AB or AP Calc BC. Presentation delivered by a master is normally more effective than a transcendent presentation delivered by an amateur. Words without inflection, tone of voice, confidence, and enthusiasm are like calculus lectures: boring. I offered my calculus students bonus points to write a limerick or haiku on their final exam. And sometimes I have bad experiences and don't enjoy the taste. As I think back to my own senior year of high school, I remember one particular class that my friends and I didn't enjoy: AP Calculus. So I need to correct my calculus by factoring in probability. For twenty years I believed that I hated calculus. While many of our older and more experienced readers are well versed in its study, the concepts in Calculus are often difficult for newcomers to pick up. And the students seem to enjoy it. There's a perception out there that if you want to get less drunk, you're better off sticking with something low in alcohol content, like a beer. Especially Calc II, the class I'm now taking again.
